| Biography |
Brittany Anne Snow
Brittany Anne Snow was born on March 9th, 1986 to John and Cinda Snow in Tampa, Florida. Brittany's career started at the age of 3 when she posed for a Burdines print advertisement. At the age of 6 her mother took her to auditions in Orlando in which she recieved many roles. Including commericals for McDonalds , Nabisco Thin Crisps, Disney, Kmart, and Busch Gardens, all together totally 15 commericals. All the while Brittany was doing commericals she was also becoming a talented dancer, she has been a member of Broadway Dance, LA Dance Force, Underground, and The Pizzaz Competitive Dance Group. Brittany was also very active in theatre and did many plays, some of which are: Pirates of Penzance, Annie, The King & South Pacific, as well as a national tour of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Brittany made her first televison debut at the age of 8 when she appeared on 2 episodes of SeaQuest 2032. In 1998 she had a role on "From the Earth to the Moon".
Brittany's real break into the acting world happened in the fall of 1998 when her parents hired a New York Agent for Brittany. One week later the agent sent Brittany a script for a role on the CBS Soap Opera, "Guiding Light". Brittany landed the role of Susan on "Guiding Light". She continued to live in Tampa even though CBS wanted Brittany to move to New York. The reason for that being is that Brittany's parents wanted to keep Brittany's life as "normal" as possible. Though after Brittany landed the role of Susan her life changed drastically. She was an honor student at Ben Hill Middle School and a regular on a daytime soap opera.
Brittany loved playing Susan on Guiding Light. She loved the storylines and the trouble character was constantly getting into. Brittany has said that playing a role on a soap opera is great practice for an acting career. Brittany considers her role on "Guiding Light" her big break. Brittany was on Guiding Light from 1998-2001. Brittany left the show to pursue other acting opportunites.
After leaving "Guiding Light" Brittany auditoned for some TV pilots in LA. She shot a pilot for a show called "Murphy's Dozen", based on a catholic family with 12 children, but the pilot never got picked up.
Good thing Murphy's Dozen didn't get picked up, because in May 2002 Brittany landed the role of Meg on "American Dreams", a role that has now made Brittany very well known. "American Dreams" sadly ended in 2005 after 3 seasons. The show had amazing storylines, great acting, and awesome fan base.
In 2005, Brittany co-starred with Vin Disel in her first movie role as Zoe in Disney's "The Pacifier". Though her role was not huge she gained a lot of attention with the role. After doing that movie Brittany decided that a movie career was what she wanted more than an tv career.
In late 2005, Brittany did a 5-episode stint on the controversial show "Nip/Tuck". She played the twisted character of Ariel Alderman, a white supremacist. It was a completely different role for Brittany that allowed her fans and critics to see how well she really could act.
Brittany's career has skyrocketed since 2005. She landed major roles in the movies "John Tucker Must Die", "Hairspray", "Finding Amanda", "Black Water Transit", "On the Doll", and "Prom Night".
One thing is for sure, Brittany Snow will not be one of those great actresses that just disappear, she's here to stay.
